oye estúpidas (Sept. 15, 2025)

hello hello! another week down! last week of the cambio and it fleww by! so much fun though. i love these people! and God is good. 

random 

• best quote from the DL himself.. "if you want baptisms, be fake." -elder hulsey 
• had district dinner at this fancy fancy polleria! 
• my favorite new convert, Luis, sang us Christmas songs in english and then he catholically blessed us with the Book of Mormon and songs about Jesus. not sure if thats sacreligious or not. 
• i drank liquor for the first time.. on my mission🤭 hehe. story time. this guy gave us sugar cane drinks and we drank it for a minute and it tasted a little odd but we kept drinking. we had a member with us and she said that that wasn't what they normally tasted like and then she realized that it had liquor in it. so that's cool. somos borachas ya. 

bautismos
• valeria, conny, and shani got baptized yesterday!! feliz cumpleaños conny 😚 
• some of the best baptisms i've ever had! so spiritual and the ward showed out. i love them with my whole heart and it was incredible to see their conversion and the visible change you could see in them. i loveee being a missionary! 

cambiossss
• im staying here in 9 de Octubre!! so hyped. the ward is actually my favorite ever. but hermana cornia is leaving me to go train. so so sad to see her leave. we partied it up all transfer and im gonna miss her like crazy!

jungle facts 
• the people here are SO good at volleyball! all the little short guys play and they can jump sooo high 
• word of the week - "tunchi" = ghost 

something spiritual 
i have been reading a lot about becoming more like Jesus. that is the goal in life. we sing it as primary kids, "i'm trying to be like Jesus." it kinda seems impossible because He was so perfect. but then i read a quote this week that said, "as you start to adore Jesus more and more, you will begin to emulate Him more and more." if you love Jesus with her whole soul and are forever grateful for what He did, you will become like Him. that makes our goal feel a lot more reachable.

hello friends!! hope you are all doing well. BAPTISM WEEK for us!  *Cheysi got baptized on Tuesday! It was so so sweet and so special. she just started crying when she bore her testimony saying how much she knows this gospel is gonna change her life. ah she's the best  *we had a crazy miracleee. we were teaching a new convert and her great niece walked into the room and asked us what she needed to do to get baptized. and she came to church yesterday!!!  *saw a massive tarantula.. no thanks  *had sunday lunch w my favorite family ever! talked to them for like 3 hours straight, straight chisme (only good chisme)  *saw the light of Christ every single day :)  spiritual thought ->  "be a creator of your circumstances and not a creation" we all go through hard times. we all have trials, whether they be big or small but we get to choose what we do with it. we can choose to let it make us into better people or tear us down. with the help of Jesus Christ, t...

Dis es Peruano (Sept. 8, 2025)

hello hello! another week down. i hit 8 monthss! AHH! time is flying by way too fast but every day is another day i get to serve the Lord. love my life!  random • peru fútbol played this week. we suck but hey we gotta stay faithful. we were talking to this guy about the game and he told us, "it's not math, it's not hope, its only miracles. God is peruvian." we lost. #DALEPERUU • intercambio w hermana larsen was hypeee • we met one of our new besties named mequeas jackson. he's like 5 foot nothing, walks around with his piano. all he's got is his piano, God, and the music to keep him going. but hey he wants to get baptized • met this cool painter guy named bill douglas. his paintings are so awesome ⬇️ milagros • hermana cornia and i found 31 people this week!!  • our leaders challenged us, as a zone, to find 90 people this week to start september off strong. we took that literally and God magnified our efforts completely. Hello all! Another great week out here in the jungle! Per usual. Full of miracles :)  random • we saw alex creepy stalker guy again, turns out he has read the book of mormon and knows who joseph smith is. who would have guessed • thanks for the package mom. gummy clusters have never tasted so good😭 • tried a new fruit called guaba.. go look it up its sick • we helped this guy who ran out of gas push his moto and then he gave us a ride to our next cita • more rain and lots of lightning. honestly felt like we were in a movie all week!  conferencia  • president and hermana summerhays are actually the best  • just do it. and do it now. thats our theme for august 404! sometimes we don't know why God asks us to do things. but it doesn't matter. just do it and do it now. you have the help of Jesus  • i love my zone #loveyourz fun jungle facts  • people here will just lie right to your face. they are pretty dang good at it too. never trust a charapa • word of the ...
