"my gringo huz" (Nov. 3, 2025)

hii!! another week down. this week i will hit 10 months! double digits is crazyy! but i am literally living the dream right now in Yarinacocha. my new comp is named Hermana Pruitt and she is actually the best 🫶🏻 

random
• my zone is so so amazing!! 
• LOVE my ward. our ward council felt like i was in the states. everyone was so organized and wanted to help. it was beautiful. and we share the ward with the elders so that's fun! 4 gringos 
• we got ice cream with korycitooo. the best ice cream i have ever had 
• we found dr. pepper at a gas station 
• i've been learning new slang from home, thanks hermana pruitt, cause i guess i'm so behind on the times 
• my house is SO nice.. did i mention we have a washing machine?! and a stove?! and hot water?? I took my first hot water shower in 10 months.. i cried. 
* we carved a pumpkin for halloween.. we won the competition 

milagros 
• we put this cute girl named Romina on date to get baptized this saturday. she is so awesome so stay tuned!! 
• we knocked on this really rich door (we never do that) but turns out her son is a member and she wants to learn more. rich people need salvation too. 

jungle facts 
• explanation of the word of the week -> these words aren't just spanish, they are words specifically from the jungle cause they are in their native tribe language. so sometimes it is very hard to understand cause they will just start switching languages. 
• word of the week -> "shinelas" = sandals 

something spiritual 
i've been reading a lot about the apostles and what they did after Christ had died and it is so wild to me. they suffered day after day, were humiliated, beaten, threatened, and so much more but it didn't matter to them. they knew how important it was to bring the world His truth. they knew that if they did everything they could to testify just a little bit more about their Savior, they would be blessed eternally.

hello friends!! hope you are all doing well. BAPTISM WEEK for us!  *Cheysi got baptized on Tuesday! It was so so sweet and so special. she just started crying when she bore her testimony saying how much she knows this gospel is gonna change her life. ah she's the best  *we had a crazy miracleee. we were teaching a new convert and her great niece walked into the room and asked us what she needed to do to get baptized. and she came to church yesterday!!!  *saw a massive tarantula.. no thanks  *had sunday lunch w my favorite family ever! talked to them for like 3 hours straight, straight chisme (only good chisme)  *saw the light of Christ every single day :)  spiritual thought ->  "be a creator of your circumstances and not a creation" we all go through hard times. we all have trials, whether they be big or small but we get to choose what we do with it. we can choose to let it make us into better people or tear us down. with the help of Jesus Christ, t...

Dis es Peruano (Sept. 8, 2025)

hello hello! another week down. i hit 8 monthss! AHH! time is flying by way too fast but every day is another day i get to serve the Lord. love my life!  random • peru fútbol played this week. we suck but hey we gotta stay faithful. we were talking to this guy about the game and he told us, "it's not math, it's not hope, its only miracles. God is peruvian." we lost. #DALEPERUU • intercambio w hermana larsen was hypeee • we met one of our new besties named mequeas jackson. he's like 5 foot nothing, walks around with his piano. all he's got is his piano, God, and the music to keep him going. but hey he wants to get baptized • met this cool painter guy named bill douglas. his paintings are so awesome ⬇️ milagros • hermana cornia and i found 31 people this week!!  • our leaders challenged us, as a zone, to find 90 people this week to start september off strong. we took that literally and God magnified our efforts completely. Hello all! Another great week out here in the jungle! Per usual.
