i. love. iquitos. (Aug. 11, 2025)

ahhhh hello from iquitos!! i love it here. it is so so different but so so amazing. it is gorgeous and the work is so great :)

*on tuesday we flew to lima and then to iquitos, but we were in the lima airport all night long waiting for our flight, so that wasn't too fun. but we got some pretty mid pizzahut and talked for 5 hours

*got to iquitos on wednesday and went right to work. i am in the area, 9 de octubre. it is so sick. the river is right in the middle of our area, so everyone lives in stilt houses and we have to walk on bridges everywhere, luckily the river is really low right now

*my compi is the best!! shoutout to hermana cornia, from las vegas 🎆

*on saturday it rained so hard. the WORST i have ever seen it rain here. we were completely soaked all day long. the streets were literal waterfalls. people looked at us like we were crazyyy but i loved it

*our baptism fell through which was really sad. he had to leave for a familiy emergency. we were pretty bummed but God opened another door. we had one of the most spiritual lessons i have ever had in the mission with these teenage girls. they were so so interested. we talked about joseph smith and the church and at the end, one of the girls asked us if we have prophets on earth today... lets gooo.

Spiritual thought ->
GRATITUDE!!
God is constantly blessing us. every single day there are miracles. we just have to be willing to open our ears, minds, and hearts to be able to understand it. take time to just love what God has given you. you'll never get today back, so why waste it? God sent us here to be happy, to find joy, to find Christ. "all things denote there is a God" so take time to notice it.
