i didnt know missionaries played hooky (May 12, 2025)

CAMBIO NEWS!! hermana parke and i are staying here in centenariooo! let's go! we are so excited for this transfer. we have got so many baptisms lined up and all of our friends are so so incredible. i love them all and can't wait to stay here another 6 weeks. 

hate to report it, but this week was definitely not as exciting as last week. pretty normal week of missionary work. finding, teaching, and baptizing. 

highlights of the week:
* intercambios with hermana velasquez. had to speak spanish all day but it was super fun
* had dinner with our bestie koryyycito and she let us ride in the back of her truck on the way home. realized that i miss long car rides
* while we were in the mall some random dude told us that he didn't think that the missionaries played hooky....not sure what he meant by that
* taught some english classes and got humbled real quickly 

happy mothers day to all the amazing mothers out there!! shoutout to my amazing mom and my best friend. miss her so much and i am so thankful for her example. but i was reading a talk on sunday called, Behold Thy Mother by Jeffrey R. Holland. He talks about the love that a mother has for her child is the only type of love that even comes close to the type of love that Jesus has for us. A mother can never forget her child...so why would we ever think that Jesus forgets us? yeah i dont' have my mom with me right now..but i have my Savior. even when it feels like He is not there...it is impossible for Him to forget you.

hello friends!! hope you are all doing well. BAPTISM WEEK for us!  *Cheysi got baptized on Tuesday! Dis es Peruano (Sept. 8, 2025)

hello hello! another week down. i hit 8 monthss! AHH! time is flying by way too fast but every day is another day i get to serve the Lord. love my life!  random • peru fĂștbol played this week. we suck but hey we gotta stay faithful. we were talking to this guy about the game and he told us, "it's not math, it's not hope, its only miracles. God is peruvian." we lost. #DALEPERUU • intercambio w hermana larsen was hypeee • we met one of our new besties named mequeas jackson. he's like 5 foot nothing, walks around with his piano. all he's got is his piano, God, and the music to keep him going. but hey he wants to get baptized • met this cool painter guy named bill douglas. his paintings are so awesome ⬇️ milagros • hermana cornia and i found 31 people this week!!  • our leaders challenged us, as a zone, to find 90 people this week to start september off strong. we took that literally and God magnified our efforts completely. Hello all! Another great week out here in the jungle! Per usual.
