Smile and Nod 🙂‍↕️ (Feb. 24, 2025)

What. The. Heck. Is. My. Life. 

That has been my go-to phrase for these past 5 days here in Peru. I am in the city Pucallpa. It's the best!! Love love love it here. Literally in the straight jungle though. Quote from a member, "Make sure to not get in the canoes because the anacondas like to climb into those." 🫠 Love my life! 

I got here on Thursday and we went right to work. I got to my first lesson and immediately got humbled so bad cause I couldn't understand a single word anyone was saying. My job was to hold the pictures, smile, and nod. That's what I've been doing for the past few days. Smiling and nodding. But i have learned that if they don't smile, you stop smiling too. I can share my testimony and understand bits and pieces of gospel topics ONLY. But, that's okay, we're thriving. 

My trainer is the besttt! Shoutout to Hermana Beckstead. We are pretty much the exact same person and she has helped me so so much. There's so much i need to learn, but she's got me. 

I absolutely love the people here! They are the most humble, loving, and kind people I've ever met. So excited to bring them to Jesus! But, they're helping me learn so much too. 

Had to say goodbye to my MTC district last week and that was really sad :(( I know they're gonna do so so amazing tho!! I'm so excited for them.

Anyways, not much to update on, except for the fact that I'm alive, can't understand a lick of spanish, and I'm living my best life 🤪I know that I'm only able to do this with the help of my Savior Jesus Christ. I can feel His hand in my life every single day and I know that as you turn to Him with every trouble, worry, thought, and much more, you will be able to grow closer to Him and feel so much joy in your life. Jesus loves youuu! I love you and miss you all!
